In this beginner one-day workshop, we will learn to hand block a straw base, and cover with silk fabric. We will also learn to design, cut, and shape a custom bow using the same straw and fabric to adorn in a way that pleasing to the eye and face shape.

Students will learn how to work with straw and silk fabric, and how to create impactful bow and shapes for the top of the button base. There will be measuring, cutting, blocking, stiffening, and hand sewing involved.
