At ten years old, I sat at a sewing machine to make a Taiwanese aboriginal dance costume, and that project sparked a lifelong love of textiles and creating by hand.
I grew up in Los Angeles’ Chinatown, surrounded by tradition, art, and community. Those early influences, together with my later studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, shaped the way I see the world: everything is connected, and beauty comes from patience, balance, and intention.
My path eventually led me to millinery, where I trained with master milliners in England and learned from skilled hatters across Europe. Their guidance sharpened my skills, but what has always stayed with me is the quiet magic of a hat — how it can change the way someone feels and carries themselves.
Now based in Austin, Texas, I continue this journey in my studio, where heritage, craft, and imagination come together in every piece I create.
