Swirling in Sweat

The weather is getting serious here in Central Texas. With the heat and humidity outside, staying indoors has been an absolute requirement. The upside is having time to catch up on designs I have been tinkering as I am getting ready for Fall workshops. The more I do these, the faster I get. I think going forward, I should try to make three or four of the same hat in different versions so I can quickly learn from my mistakes. It’s best to get all that frustration out of the way ASAP.

On my work bench, pinned and ready for the final securing stitches. It always looks perfect at this point, until it gets away from me.

If you look closely, the edges are whip stitched using a metallic gold thread. It’s subtle but adds just a bit of bling. This next one here was done entirely in pink using wider straw. I think it is very bridal or warm-weather-ready. Which one do you prefer? I might squeeze out a third next week with a lovely hot pink straw I found tucked behind my stash. Keep an eye on my IG posts with snaps of my WIP.

I never tire of pink.
